Please be aware that Clinton Street will be under construction from January 16 till approximately January 30th, 2012. Our normal hours and days of operation will not change, but, drivers should expect delays. Routes and access to Science Central does not change. 4th Street will be used to re-route traffic at the bridge, and will likely change your route home.

"Construction on the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Bridge enters a new phase next week as crews begin placing the signature overhead steel arches. To accommodate the construction, the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) and the City of Fort Wayne will close US 27/Clinton Street at the bridge beginning Monday, January 16. The closure is scheduled for two weeks, weather permitting."

Here is a pdf map of what the Local Detour route looks like. We do not advise drivers from out of town to use the official INDOT detour, as this will needlessly lengthen your drive time.
