Getting "into" Sharks
Explanation: The Ocean is abundant with many diverse and unique life forms. Investigating this amazing animal offers a fun way to explore different body systems. Sharks are vertebrates and present a body system similar to our own. Students work in groups to investigate and dissect their shark. Staff discusses the similarities and differences between the animal and humans during this lab. The students will investigate the body’s structures, discovering how the structure and all its parts function together to allow survival in an ocean environment.
