Bridge Building Competition
February 19th, 2011

Constructing a building, bridge, home or porch is a challenge that requires engineering skill.  Science Central invites all middle and high school engineers to compete in the  Bridge Building Competition!

The objective is to design and build the strongest, lightest, and firmest (low deflection of load bearing surface) bridge using craft sticks and adhesive.

Each bridge is weighed and tested. Testing involves partially or completely destroying your creation, which is not recommended for testing finished bridges in the real world, but it's a great way to evaluate models!
