ATTENTION, Homeschool Educators!  This event will provide you with an opportunity to take a closer look at all the programs Science Central offers to help you guide your children through the wonders of science, technology, engineering and math.

• ERC Visit our Educator’s Resource Center (ERC) and explore the wide variety of learning materials we have in this lending library.  

• NEIRG  (Northeast Indiana Robot Games) and FIRST LEGO League. Science Central is your portal for both of these technology and engineering competitions.  These programs offer students a chance to explore technology, to work as part of a team and to have fun learning.  Representatives will be here to explain both programs.  

• Science₄U Discover how you can bring Science Central’s outstanding programming to your location.

• Learn more about the free educational programs Lunch with a Scientist, Backpacks, and our DECKS.

• Afternoon Science These afternoon programs are designed  to offer homeschool students an opportunity to spend an afternoon together participating in a scientific lab,  a demonstration and exploring the floor exhibits. Specific dates and topics will be available at the Open House.

• Distance Learning  Find out more about the titles Science Central offers through interactive videoconferencing field trips.  Explore the world of opportunities that can be brought to your students via this new technology.

• Representatives from many Downtown Educational Destinations will be available for you to talk with during your visit.  Learn how to make the most of your visit to downtown Fort Wayne.

Admission to the Homeschool Resource Open House is free, but reservations are required by August 15, 2008.  To reserve your space or get more information, please call the Registrar at 260-424-2400 ext. 451.
