NEWSFLASH

coronavirus dark 1200x800Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19)

Science Central recognizes that our Mission to be a regional resource that provides inspiring and fun hands-on science education for all people of all ages is as important as your health and safety.

As we begin making plans, with the goal of being able to reopen soon, Science Central is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for staff and our visitors, even as we navigate through this challenging time.

Upon reopening we would hope that your families and friends see us as a safe and engaging venue of informal science education. Let’s all use the best defense we have, knowledge. Let’s remember that the COVID-19 virus is still with us and just as concerning as before the state put into place a measured return to a ‘new’ normal. Join with us in fighting this international crisis.

We encourage our community to be aware of your behavior, be safe in your interactions and know what your choices are before engaging. Practice social distancing by putting space between yourself and others. Continue to practice healthy habits to help slow the spread of COVID-19.

Science of Giving

Science Central’s golf outing is not your typical round of 18. Guests will enjoy liquid nitrogen ice cream while learning the science of golf and watching golf balls flying out of a cannon. Finally guests gather to discuss the excitement of the day from the bagpiper send off to the final scores while enjoying a meal and bidding on silent auction items.

All proceeds from the event and auction will support Science Central as we strive to provide an “inspiring and fun hands-on science education for all people of all ages” and help ensure the ongoing success of Science Central’s exhibits and programming. Together we can continue make a difference in science education here in Northeast Indiana.
