Science Central recognizes that our Mission to be a regional resource that provides inspiring and fun hands-on science education for all people of all ages is as important as your health and safety.

As we begin making plans, with the goal of being able to reopen soon, Science Central is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for staff and our visitors, even as we navigate through this challenging time.

Upon reopening we would hope that your families and friends see us as a safe and engaging venue of informal science education. Let’s all use the best defense we have, knowledge. Let’s remember that the COVID-19 virus is still with us and just as concerning as before the state put into place a measured return to a ‘new’ normal. Join with us in fighting this international crisis.

We encourage our community to be aware of your behavior, be safe in your interactions and know what your choices are before engaging. Practice social distancing by putting space between yourself and others. Continue to practice healthy habits to help slow the spread of COVID-19.

UPDATE 5/18/2020:  Onsite Summer STEM Camps from June 8th through June 28th have been canceled, but we are offering new activities. These will include science kits you can do at home as well as live interaction with Science Central educators. If you are registered for any of these programs you will be contacted soon!

With your support, YOU will provide:

$300.00  12 Scouts the opportunity to come to Science Central and earn STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) badges while participating in a workshop.

$100.00  One classroom (32 children) with a hands-on lab brought right to their school with Science4U.

$50.00  Eight homeschool students the opportunity to spend an afternoon together during Afternoon Science, as they participate in a lab, learn from a demonstration, and explore the exhibits.

$25.00  Five students the chance to leave the classroom and do fun, inspiring, hands-on learning through a study trip at Science Central.
