Hours
The hours we are open to the public vary over the course of the year. We have School Year hours which run roughly September thru June. Then we have "Standard Summer Hours" which run roughly June thru August. As well as special hours during the school holiday periods, like Winter Break and Spring Break.
Summer Hours:
- Monday - Closed
- Tuesday - 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Wednesday - 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Thursday - 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Friday - 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Saturday - 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Sunday - 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Extended Hours
Premium Planetarium Shows and Extended Hours- First and last Fridays of the month, 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Member Thursdays
Planetarium Shows and Extended Hours for members only.- Second Thursday of each month, General Public 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Members only 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM)
Admission
For an initial visit, plan on spending 2-3 hours at Science Central.
With a plethora of exhibits to explore you will need time, and catch a demonstration on a science topic in the Demonstration Theater!
Visitors with children ages 7 and under should check out Kids Central – a gallery especially for young visitors.
Also, please note that some of our staffed exhibits follow an exhibit schedule, and that some exhibits have age, height or weight limits
